Annotation
This in-service training was created by the librarian as a professional development training for teachers and staff. A librarian is trained in copyright and fair use, so he/she is equipped to serve as an expert in this area for all faculty, including administrators. His/her expertise also benefits students when teachers seek the librarian's guidance on copyright and fair use. The students then learn ethical use of technology.

Annotation
This lesson plan was created collaboratively between the 8th grade history teacher and the school librarian for students studying the American Revolution. The lesson demonstrates the value of teacher-librarian collaboration and the strength it lends to student learning. As illustrated in this lesson plan, when teachers and librarians work together to create a lesson, they merge ideas and experiences to create a stronger, more fulfilling lesson that will stay with the students longer and build on their knowledge base.
